Life and death are far apart, fame rises and falls like the wind.

The lyrics say: Although the Dao is silent, the pure energy has not departed. The blending and solidifying are different, the black and white are the same. With elegance and intelligence, it truly radiates pure grace. Like clouds emerging from the mountains, like the moon shining on the pond. Life and death are difficult for the family, enduring the hardships of the world. Trusting fate, finding peace in the present. Meeting at the beginning, parting at the end. The lonely shadow is easily distorted. The dark night is hard to dawn. Seeking enlightenment through meditation. Inviting sincerity through six crossings. The mind is clear and bright, the practice is steadfast. Peering into the truth without speculation, the profound illumination is wordless. Cherishing the kindness and favor received. Regretting the passing of time, only urging to continue living. The pause in the gorge is not long. The departing boat has no resting place. The qi is obstructed, peace is elusive. The spirit is weary day and night. Extending the jade-like beauty. Lingering and staying with the imperial carriage. Extinguishing the brilliance, returning to the ordinary. Adapting to circumstances, grieving with the four assemblies. Mourning the union of the two palaces. Increasing sorrow and deepening mourning. The secluded spring closes its scenery. The wind blows at the head of the Long Mountain. Spreading fame, recounting the beginning. Inscribing on the stone, pursuing the end.

·-- "Epitaph for the Late Buddhist Nun Tongsiciqing of Wei"

Those most prominent in this theater are merely yesterday's builders of towers, today's hosts of banquets, and tomorrow's pourers of poisoned wine. Just as they have recently made a name for themselves, in the blink of an eye, the wind passes and their souls scatter. They are about to be inscribed on stone, but will soon be forgotten. They will turn to dust and become part of the vast sea.

Impermanence is the greatest curse for historical figures.
