Ebb Tide - Epilogue - Poetry

Dust on the Stars

We are all dust on the stars,

When every drop of rain splashes,

You should know it's dust on the stars,

The hydrogen atoms shimmer with the light of the universe,

Light is also dust on the stars,

Dazzling blue is dust,

Dazzling red is also dust,

Leaping is dust,

Falling is also dust,

The ocean is dust,

Ships are also dust,

Roses are dust,

The moon is also dust,

All dust is a star,

You and I soar in the dust on the dust,

Soaring and falling,

Virus,

Eight hundred million years of time on your body,

The sea dries up and the rocks crumble,

The world changes,

The ends of the earth,

The first step of life,

Steps faltering,

The first step of giants,

Steps faltering,

Civilization is tiny before you,

You are a recluse of eight hundred million years,

A recluse of civilization,

House monitoring,

Sing in anger,

Worried in heart,

Worried in heart,

You,

Are a smear of gray on the road,

The transverse wave is nothing,

Like a bird chirping and passing by on an autumn day,

Wings brushing past golden regrets,

The miracle between meeting and missing,

We long for miracles, we believe in miracles,

But miracles are submerged in the vastness of life,

Submerged in the background,

Submerged in the night,

Like a small, beautiful wave meeting you,

Waking up from a thousand years of dreams,

Frozen in time,

Even light cannot penetrate,

Trapped in time,

Five hundred years of fallen leaves,

One spring, one autumn,

Trees sway and shadows move,

Photons like floating duckweed,

On the other side of the slit,

Gathering and dispersing, rising and falling.
